Native to India introduced to Texas in the 1930’s, today there are large numbers of free ranging herds in central Texas, best tasting game meat-hands down, trophies are greater than 30 inches, drop antlers annually, no defined rut so antlered buck’s present year around, hunting season year around with trophy hunts best between April-July. Weight: Bucks 200 lbs and Doe 120 lbs on average.
